The JK6 38 Felt is an extraordinary Cartridge. First, the loading with dust JK6 makes it very stable at all temperatures, preventing shortcomings due to sudden changes in atmospheric humidity, especially possible in the hunting opening period, at the turn of the high summer and the early autumnal signs. In addition to this, it has been shown to possess an impressive ballistic performance, to say the least, that have pushed no less than 38 grams of lead at a speed of 395 meters per second, producing a pressure of 880 bars, not even, therefore, approaching the 900 bars. The felt wad is the guarantee of a just perfect shot pattern, and I mean it in the very literal sense.
Our tests, in this case three rounds of two shots each, fired from eighteen meters,
real average distance in the pheasant hunt, have provided, regarding the first barrel, an astonishing 97% of the distribution of the shot pattern in a perfect circle 45 centimeters in diameter and a result of 95% in a 40 centimeters diameter
loop as regards the second one. If we consider that the useful diameter of a pheasant is about 25 cm, it means that , with this percentage of distribution, we can use the JK6 38 Felt with the practical certainty that we’ll cook it in the pan. The effectiveness, given the values of speed and shot pattern, is also guaranteed for long-range shots, for example towards birds soared in the air at a distance of about thirty meters..
