It’s time to think about the opening of the hunting season of September. Each of us check the cabinet of munitions to see what is left, and what is, instead, to be integrated to face that first fateful day, and why not, the following ones. We must say that the main wild animals which we are going to hunt will be quails, doves and pheasants. Not infrequently, in fact, all three of these prey animals show themselves to the keen hunter, because: either detected by the dog, or, in the case of doves, because of their extemporaneous flights by a row of trees to another, or between these and the pasturage in sunflower fields. These are three wild animals very different for their size, behavior and flight speed. In order to be successful in
our venture, therefore, we decided to examine some of the proposals of Fiocchi, the Italian Company leader, all around the world, in the production of hunting cartridges, and which has always been synonymous of quality without
compromises. Those that, in the vast panorama of commercial proposals,
seem to us very suitable, are the HP 32, number 10, and JK6 38 Felt, number 8 of the Performance line.
The renowned care of the manufacturer is immediately evident in the design: beautiful colors, high quality materials, for primer and casing, and another particular, which does not hurt, is the nice graphics stamped on the cartridge case, with the number of lead imprinted in nice typefaces.
The “Performance” line, without giving up the tradition, offers a truly remarkable ballistic performance, by mounting, among other things, a new type of wad that drives and converges the birdshots in nothing short of outstanding way. Loadings, that is the ratio between powder and lead, have proved highly effective and,
as you will see, the result has been consequent.
